021 905 106 VolksWagen Parts![]() Navigation: Main page » Automobile Information Author: Michael Smetana Have you ever wondered why is it so difficult to find parts for a decient price?
What about when you buy a reliable car and it turns out not to be that reliable at all. Anyway, I was searching a searching all over the NET for one part for the Volkswagen 021 905 106 VR6 and have yet to have much success.
Confused as I was, I went streight to EBAY and searched for 6 Cylinder Ignition Coils. Well what I found might supprize you. As I see what I was looking At I found the wiring diagram for the Part that I was looking for. It seemed really simple and like something that I was able to make myself it I really had to.
So I have this friend of mine that Owns a 97 VW Jetta VR6. And his Ignition coil on the car is Bad. Well the Car Broke down on the Highway Leaving them stranded and needing to get a tow truck to get them to safety. And Guess what! No Check Engine Light Ever Came on.
After a Little Research I found that that most common problem with VR6 Motors is the Faulty Ignition Coils. There were people replacing them on a Regular Yearly basis just to keep the car on the road.
Now this seems a little extreame to me. I cant see spending anywhere from $330 to $500 dollars for this one little part, If you dont beleave me enter the part number yourself or call the Autoparts store. 021 905 106 I'm sure they would be happy to help you.
Next thing I saw was that there is a Coil Pack from 2000 Pontiac Grand Am that was 6 plugs, Same Fireing Order, and may have had more wires to deal with. But thats ok, It isn't something an Educated person would have a problem working on.
So then in my continued efforts, The Ford F150 ,F250, F350 and Econoline 6cyl have a Coil pack that Looks Extremly Identical. 4 Wires In, 6 Female Coil Plug Ends. To make this work, provided I had to would be as simple as the mounting bracket and the Wiring Plug. Now Everyone knows, for has always been known for wiring problems so I'm sure they probably sell the plug Replacement end by it self, either at the autoparts store or the Dealer ship.
Now that it seems this whole thing would work, whats the BEST PART? Price. I found a new Ignition Coil from the Ford Vehicle for $20 and then ... Just Guessing what a little plug might cost... say.. $10.00 max. Then to Make a Mounting Bracket. Any Piece of Aluminum would do, and a drill. That might run you about... I don't know $5... So all and all, a better more reliable product for Less money. HUM... Kind of gets you thinking about VW... Why is your part 021 905 106 so Expensive?
