HOW I CAN CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE![]() Navigation: Main page » Creative Writing Author: Akemere, Innocent The world we live in is dynamic;
dynamic in the sense that changes occur each day, most especially in this modern ages of ours in which a previous day has its own legend. To create positive changes in this world full of changes, there are some factors that must be considered.
To start with, the following are the ways and techniques with which one can create a positive change: creating readiness for change, creating your chance to change, generating commitment, eliminating weaknesses, eliminating preconceptions, reducing available referents, leading change which promotes steadiness and permanence, and sharing uniqueness with others.
Every standard project, which requires completion, must be planned for so as to ensure that its possibility is been fulfilled. For one to create a positive change, he must have to sit down and make himself convinced, prepared, and ready to carry out the task, which he has conceived to execute.
Creating readiness for positive change is a basic foundation, which every willing individual must consider before any other step and action for a concrete change that will be steady and permanent.
Changes in human life; physical, mental, social, material and economic changes must have a basic readiness to enhance progress. Hence, for me to create positive changes, my readiness for positive changes should be a determination to prove right or wrong my ambition towards creating changes.
Many people convince and confuse themselves by making their final verdict that their contribution to positive change may be insignificant but fails to realize that God has put them in a place where they alone can do the work faster and probably more efficiently and effectively. For instance, you can do a better job of telling people about Christ in your homes, local church, in the class where you are the teacher, in the work place where you are the supervisor than an outsider to these institutions.
To make good use of my chance to positive changes, I must develop the attitude that will cause me to say: "If I don't do it, who else will?" as opposed to the attitude where I may say, "Someone else, and not I, will do it". This prompts me to share the words of Conrad N. Hilton, the founder of the world famous Hilton Hotels International who had to say: "The strongest motivation in my life is to do the best I can, and this directly relates to what I believe God expects of me.
Every person is given certain abilities, and he had better develop himself to the utmost.
We can only discover what we are really capable of by doing work - real hard work. I consider this to be life's primary calling: the great responsibility to achieve, to accomplish, and to persist in even greater accomplishment" Such is my motivation; and it also follows that 'fulfillment through achieving and being of benefit to my fellow human beings cannot help but to be of great personal satisfaction. More so, I must generate commitment, which is the basic reality of my ambition. One may think of doing a particular act, which he/she may consider, will bring positive changes in things around him but failing in carrying it out with commitment and actions make this kind of dream unfulfilled and at stake. So therefore, my commitment, which I generate to enhance any positive thought will be a driver, which will hasten my ability to create a positive change. Non-the-less, I must learn to eliminate weaknesses and preconceptions, which will make me feel inferior and thereby, making me feel the impossibility of carrying out what I am determined to.
Many a time, people had often realized themselves as a vessel of positive change but are weighed down from the moment they consider preconceptions. Actually, for any thing good to commence, rivals, oppositions and hatred will arise. Because people who derive joy, fame, honor and pleasure from the already existing situation will not let their ways of life, which gives them all they require from others go just like that. But the possibility of every individual to withstand these contraries will aid him to convince people on the good impact these changes can create in the economic and social improvement of the people. Therefore, preconceptions and weaknesses should be considered enemies and must never be given room to prevail.
Available referents, perhaps can be reduced and carefully administered in regards to creating positive changes. Many willing citizens rival their thought for positive change by the popular say, "If you cannot beat them, you join them". Life is not meant to be ruined, and for its reality to be effected, referents and figure- head should be downgraded and regardless for new positive changes to effect. Many a time, perspective changes fails after some period because of the low standard ways in which it has been presented. Many would like to effect their discoveries by proclaiming it for people to hear of it, and that people should change from their original ways to embrace their new invention, but fails to buckle it up with conviction emanating from their examples.
Furthermore, for one to create or effect positive changes, he must consider leading changes, which will enhance promotion, steadiness, and permanence. This is why it is usual to say, "Action speaks louder than words". Moreover, one's life should be influenced by the changes, which is conceived by such an individual. Nevertheless, sharing uniqueness with others should be considered as an important technique in effecting positive changes. One may view a fact and see it applicable for changes. As far as these views remains undiffused, such kind of view can never be known, thought of, or adopted by others. But for one to share this uniqueness with others, he should be able to stand his ground so as to make him confident and to be able to direct people on how and why they should turn for these new ways, which may seem different from their original ways.
Finally, creating changes is a task, which is expected from every living individual and this must never be neglected by any. Creating changes does not require sex, religion, and age. Hence, all must find out from his/her life, ways in which he/she can create changes in his/her individual life, community, social organizations, country, as well as the globe at large. So therefore, we must be mindful that our knowledge and intellect is non-avail if it does not influence us to create positive changes in all aspect of life; physically, financially, socially, mentally, economically, materially, spiritually, morally, and other wise.
