Jesus' survival of the crucifixion is supported by the following pieces of evidence:

1. Jesus was only upon the cross for a few hours
2. His disciples were able to give him a substance on a sponge with lead to him becoming uncoincous
3. His legs were not broken.
4. The wound in his side lead to blood and water flowing out, suggesting an active heart.
5. Herbs taken to the tomb in large numbers were Aloe and Myrrh, herbs with excellent healing properties
6. Placing herbs on a body is nothing to do with Jewish burial customs.
7. Just before Jesus' was seen to lose conciousness he had enough energy to let out a loud cry.

We believe Jesus survived the Crucifixion. We believe this marked victory over his opponents and his prayer in Gethsamane being answered. He was spared from the cluthes of death.

The Shroud of Turin appears to support this theory also. The Shroud contains detailed bloodflows that match the events described in the Gospels. There are those who have concluded that Jesus Christ survived the Crucifixion from studing the Shroud alone. The Shroud also adds to the body of evidence.
